Rift-Tide Crystal-Fin Shark

It does not approach human structures voluntarily. When a reflective beacon illuminates the wrong shallow corridor, it turns away rather than entering.

Habitat and Mechanism

Outer-blue deep channels, crystal-coral breakwater edges, seagrass corridors, and the harbor-side migration routes of the Tide Vein outside Coral Ark Harbor。Crystal coral filters polluted particles, flexible reef pores preserve water exchange, and deep channels carry fish and larger migrants around the living breakwater. Excessive automated reef harvesting released debris into the Tide Vein. A reflective navigation beacon then lit the shallow corridor incorrectly. The Rift-Tide Crystal-Fin Shark turned back at that light and left its normal outer-ring patrol. Its avoidance line revealed both the false signal and the safer deep channel.

The shark follows the outer-blue deep channel on a calm territorial patrol. It keeps its mouth closed, changes direction without charging, and uses measured tail beats and turning lines to maintain the distribution of medium-sized fish. It does not approach human structures voluntarily. When a reflective beacon illuminates the wrong shallow corridor, it turns away rather than entering.

Its patrol helps keep medium-sized fish distributed along the outer ring. The sharp turn away from the false reflective beacon marks an unsafe light source, while the line it resumes after the beacon is shut down identifies the deep-water route still connected to the Tide Vein.

FIELD ETHICS

Observation Rule

Fang and K keep outside the shark's patrol line and do not chase, bait, corner, or redirect it. Fang uses non-invasive sensors and passive acoustics. K keeps active weapons stowed, preserves a clear retreat route, and changes only the human beacon and active sonar. The shark chooses its route and distance from the harbor.

At Outer-Blue Patrol Line, the shark turned back at the deep-water boundary and refused the shallow corridor illuminated by the reflective beacon. Fang used non-invasive sensors to separate its response into current, suspended particles, and movement. K stayed outside the patrol line, marked load-bearing points, return flow, and retreat routes, and kept every active weapon stowed.
