Habitat and Mechanism
The submerged former coastline southwest of the Vancouver dome。Warm, humid dome exhaust, seawater intrusion, pressure release from old tide gates, and submerged metal structures combine to form a low-frequency resonant wetland. A faulty tide gate has cut across the creature's migration route.

The severed migration route showed that the faulty tide gate was affecting the wetland's entire food web, not only its water level.

Observation Rule
They made no move against the adult female. They gave her room, freed the calf at a distance, and let the calf return to the freshwater basin on her shell before the group moved on.
Fang and K found a calf caught in a maintenance net and first watched the adult female's patrol route. Fang released the clasp remotely while K stood to the side in a nonthreatening posture.
